For Valentine's Day I decided to go for a special look for the occasion.
For my eyes, I prepped them by using the Urban Decay eye primer in Original.
I used my Too Faced Natural eyes palette, which I was introduced to by a sales associate at Sephora when I was waffling between which Urban Decay Naked palette to buy, and she recommended this palette since it was a good one for beginners. I chose the three shadows at the bottom deemed by Too Faced as "Fashion" because it has a beautiful gold shadow, and while I'm a woman in her 30's I have the likes a 6 year old girl - shiney and glitter!
I applied the Nude all over my lid, then took the Chocolate Martini and applied that in a V at the outer edge of my eye and along my crease, and blended that like mad. I took Honey Pot and added a dot of it with my finger to the center of my lid, and lightly blended that. I wanted the Honey Pot to catch the light in the middle of my lid.
I then lined my eyes with Tarte's lights, camera, lashes precision long wear liquid eyeliner, and added a wing to create a cat eye.
I use E.L.F Makeup remover pen, which for me is very helpful when I'm lining my eyes, because I mess up quite a bit. By using this, I don't have to redo my entire eye makeup, and I'm able to just fix a small part. The only drawback with this remover pen is that it can smear the rest of the makeup, but just take a q-tip to minimize the damage. This pen is a sweet $3. When I go to Target (FYI Vermont is Target-less. Not one Target does business here. It's rough. To go to one, I have to drive to Grand Isle which is a 1/2 hr away in order to take a ferry across Lake Champlain to New York State and do a short drive to Plattsburgh which is the closest Target to me. It's gotten to the point where I asked friends to take pictures of their Target trip, because I missed it so much), I stock up on these babies.
I use the grey from my Body Shop Eyebrow & Liner Kit in 03 Dark Brown/Black and apply that to my brows with an angled brush. I removed the tiny brush that comes with the kit because it's useless.
I applied The Body Shop All-In-One blush in Cherryade, or blush in #10. For some reason the blush doesn't have the name of the color, and just the number.
My lip color is from The Body Shop. I lined it with Rosy Red lip liner, and then applied a limited edition Holiday lipstick, Ruby Sparkle, and it has a hint of glitter in it. Remember what I said about me and glitter? This applies to Ruby Sparkle.
Voila, that was my Valentine's Day look!
